Most cheats use the Insert key to open and close the in-game menu. If your keyboard doesn’t have a physical Insert key (common on compact and laptop keyboards), you can remap any other key to act as Insert using Microsoft PowerToys. This guide walks you through the process.
Install Microsoft PowerToys
Open the Microsoft Store, search for PowerToys, and install it.
Open Keyboard Manager
Launch PowerToys, then go to Input & Output → Keyboard Manager and enable it.
Add a key remapping
Click Remap a key, then click Add key remapping.
Select your source key
Click Select under the From column and press the key on your keyboard that you want to use as your Insert key. The key name will appear under “Key selected:”. Click OK.
Set the destination to Insert
In the To Send column, change the value to Insert.
Save and confirm
Press OK, then click Continue anyway when prompted.
Your remapped key will now register as Insert, allowing you to toggle the cheat menu in-game.
If you later want to remove or change the remapping, go back to Keyboard Manager → Remap a key and delete or edit the entry you created.
