ARC Raiders uses two anti-cheat layers: Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) and Anybrain, a behavioral AI system developed by Embark Studios. Anybrain is fundamentally different from traditional anti-cheat tools and requires a different approach to avoid detection.

How Anybrain works

Anybrain is not signature-based — it doesn’t look for cheat files or known patterns. Instead, it analyzes how you play. It builds a behavioral fingerprint from:
  • Mouse movement patterns
  • Reaction times
  • Keystroke timing
Humans are inherently imperfect. We have micro-jitters in hand movement, we overshoot targets, we hesitate. Anybrain’s model is built around these human imperfections. An aimbot, by contrast, moves in linear trajectories, locks onto a target’s head, and stays there with zero deviation — even when the target is jumping or strafing. That’s statistically impossible for a human hand to produce. If your crosshair snaps to a target in 12 milliseconds with perfect deceleration, Anybrain can flag it instantly. You don’t get caught running cheat software — you get caught being “too good to be true.”

How to stay undetected

Anybrain was not fully enabled during the first weeks after ARC Raiders launched, but it is likely now active. Treat it as always-on.
Turn smoothing up high and use the aimbot infrequently. These two changes have the biggest impact on Anybrain detection.
  • Use high smoothness — removes the linear snap-to patterns that Anybrain flags
  • Use the aimbot selectively — constant target tracking on every enemy is a clear behavioral signal
  • Change your aimbot keybind away from RMB — binding to right mouse button means the aimbot tracks every time you ADS, which is excessive and detectable. Use a different key so you can choose exactly when to activate it
  • Vary your play — miss shots intentionally, vary reaction times, don’t snap to every target
