# Run Ignite Apex: Loader Setup and Menu Display Fix

> Set up and launch the Ignite Apex cheat for Apex Legends using the loader. Fixes the menu not appearing when the game is in fullscreen mode.

This guide covers the steps to get it loaded and the error you may encounter if the in-game menu doesn't appear.

  Complete the [Anti-Virus Setup](/pc-setup/anti-virus-setup) before proceeding. The loader will fail if Windows Defender or any other anti-virus is still active.

## Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Run the loader">
    Open the loader and log in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Load Module">
    On the main tab, click **Load Module**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Notepad as administrator">
    When prompted, open the **Notepad** application as an administrator (right-click Notepad → Run as administrator).

  <Step title="Launch the game">
    Once the loader closes, open Apex Legends.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the cheat menu">
    Press **Insert** to open the cheat menu in-game. If your keyboard doesn't have an Insert key, see [Remapping Insert Key](/pc-setup/remapping-insert-key).

## Error Code Fixes

  <Accordion title="Cheat menu not showing in-game">
    If the cheat menu doesn't appear after pressing Insert, your display mode is likely the cause.

    Change your Apex Legends display setting from **Fullscreen** to **Borderless Window**. The overlay cannot render in exclusive fullscreen mode.

    You can find this setting in Apex Legends under **Settings** → **Video** → **Display Mode**.
